Wine Route: the nativity circuit at Bergheim
From 6 to 28 December 2008

Come and see a unique event in Alsace: fifty nativity scenes produced by the inhabitants of Bergheim, exhibited along a musical trail in the heart of the medieval city.

This exhibition will be held throughout the Advent period and most of the nativities can be seen every day so that you can visit at any time. Maps showing the locations of the nativities are available for visitors at the town entrance points.

You are in the vineyard in the heart of the Wine Route and close to the Vosges and Germany.

Nativity trail
With fifty nativities created and exhibited by Bergheim associations and residents, the nativity trail gives visitors an original route to follow through the illuminated city. To explore: a free circuit throughout the period or a guided tour every weekend (Saturday and Sunday at 18:00)

Ribeauvillé is magical with its decorations and has a charming Christmas market: The fiddlers' city takes all the ingredients from its history to create a particularly successful medieval Christmas market.

Christmas in Riquewihr from 29 November to 17 December 2008
Riquewihr's amazingly well preserved heritage makes it an essential stop on your tour of Alsace. At Christmas, the town is resplendent with light and its traditional Christmas market is open all week long. (More extensive market at the weekend)
