From the French banks of this mythical river, you will experience all the fun of fly fishing on the Rhine, accompanied by a professional fishing guide.

  You will discover the Little Camargue of Alsace nature reserve, part of the wonderful heritage of the Wild Rhine, which is extraordinarily rich in animal and plant life. The heart of the reserve has preserved the remarkable Napoleon III-style buildings of the prestigious Huningue Imperial Pisciculture organisation, set up to work for the return of salmon into the Rhine.

 Staying in a hotel committed to sustainable tourism, you will also have the opportunity to taste local produce and regional specialities.

Your stay in Alsace:

Day 1: The Little Camargue of Alsace

You will be welcomed to the largest nature reserve in Alsace, and taken on a guided tour showing you all its riches. You will discover the tortured history of the Rhine and learn about the artificial reproduction of fish through the permanent exhibitions “History of the Rhine” and “History of Salmon”.

Day 2 : Fly fishing on the “Wild Rhine”

Breakfast at the hotel with your fishing guide, then a day of fly fishing on the “Old Rhine”
Outdoor picnic with local produce.

Day 3: Discovering the Three Borders Region

Free day to appreciate the tourist assets of this trans-border region within immediate proximity of Germany and Basel in Switzerland.
We can offer you suggestions for excursions to make your stay all the more enjoyable: take a little cruise on the Rhine departing from Huningue, or hire a boat (no licence required) in Kembs or electric bicycles in Rosenau, allowing you to discover in privileged fashion this natural and superbly preserved corner of the Rhine region…
You can also enjoy the water sports activities available at the Parc des Eaux Vives in Huningue, or take another opportunity to visit our German and Swiss neighbours in Weil am Rhein (Ger) and Basel (Sw).
Or of course you can simply decide to devote your time to your favourite activity, by choosing to enjoy some more fly fishing on the Rhine, either on your own or by reserving your fishing guide for an extra day. (Please note, none of these activities are included in the stated price of the stay, and are to be added to the cost through advance booking at the Tourist Office)

Safety information:

• Water travel necessary
• You must not have been medically advised against fly fishing.
• You must be able to swim at least 25 metres and submerge.
• Check that fly fishing is covered by your insurance contract both for civil liability and personal insurance.
• Minors under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and those of 15 or over must provide proof of parental authorisation.
• Attention, take care at the edge of the river! Plan a secure return path and respect the fishing guide’s safety instructions and the signs along the riverbank and canal areas./li>
• The fishing guide may be required to change the fishing site if conditions for safety or good practice cannot be met.

• This offer is available between May and October only
• Days on which the stay can begin: Friday or Saturday
• A shorter weekend package is also available: 2 days / 1 night.
