ADT - Tourisme en Alsace

The Secretariat of State for Tourism has undertaken a procedure to raise awareness and stimulate action by tourist professionals to improve site accessibility and integration of handicapped people.

Within this context, the national label "Tourism and Handicap" was created in 2001. It is a kind of response to the request by handicapped people who want to be able to choose their holidays and leisure activities in total freedom.

A site labelled "Tourism and Handicap" must be able to guarantee complete autonomy for handicapped people when visiting or staying at the place in question.
Today, is reliable information on all four types of handicap:

Motor Handicap
Mental Handicap

Auditory Handicap
Visual Handicap

The label may be awarded for one, two, three or four handicaps
