Wintersports in Southern Alsace

The Vosges range offers winter sports lovers a huge choice of sporting possibilities including downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, dog sleigh rides and biathlon, etc. Together, the resorts offer a total of 170 ski lifts and 1000 km of marked-out trails for cross country skiing.

L'exposition, mise en scène par Jean-Pierre Anger, plasticien et "agitateur d'idées" bien connu autour de Colmar, retrace la vie dédiée à la recherche paléontologique et botanique de Fritz Geissert.

"Dream of Cashmere, Cashmeres of dream "
The Shawls Cashmere printed in Alsace in 19th century
From November 13th 2009 to October 31st 2010

If in Europe the shawl cashmere is a purely feminine accessory, in India, its country of origin, it is reserved for men, who wear it as a belt or a turban. Woven in Kashmir since the 15th century from a fine, short flossy under-wool of a goat living in the elevated region of Tibet the cashmere shawl mostly is rectangular. Its décor is constituted by a plain centre finished on both sides by borders which are decorated with the boteh, the Indian name for the paisley design.

LE PARADIS DES SOURCES: The enchantment of the Music hall

The “Paradis des Sources” is the newest music hall in this region.
The complex of the Paradis des Sources is magnificently nested in the middle of a rich timbered and green valley of meadows and slopes, in a natural and nicely arranged reserve called Espace des Sources.
