A musicians' village
During the 14th century, a number of powerful landowners set about building the village's outer wall and also laid the foundations for its castle. They offered protection to travellers, wandering artists, acrobats and travelling musicians known simply as "ménétriers".
Hundertwasser

Eight years after the death of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, certainly the best-known Austrian artist of the second half of the 20th century, a retrospective devoted to this painter, architect and social critic has been organised by the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar, widely considered as a leading cultural institution for the art of German-speaking lands, owing to its geographical location and its unequalled late Gothic collections.
Jazz Festival
Mulhouse from 14th to 30th August 2008
The festival is the main activity of the Jazz association in Mulhouse. For fifteen days you can hear all the jazz you want in various concert settings. FREE MUSIC is one of the biggest European modern jazz, improvisation and modern music events… Come and see !
Garden festival Wesserling Park - Textile Museum
From June 15th to October 5th 2008
Wesserling Park (42 acres) is a unique witness to the textile industry in Alsace. A stately home, several mansions, a farmhouse and a textile museum overlook magnificent gardens. The complex is registered as a place of historic interest by the French National Trust.
Our Environment puts on a great show !
Since its opening in 2006 the Alsace leisure park „Le Bioscope“ has been all about the environment. Visitors are to discover our planet and its fragile balance through interactive games, breath-taking shows and fun animations.

Painter of Russian origin, he is studying in Paris from 1923, then in London. It makes friends with Kandinsky, Otto Freundlich and Robert Delaunay which bring some change in it towards abstraction.
